MS. MIKAYLA BUNN
Mikayla Bunn is a professional dancer and award winning choreographer currently based in New York City. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Western Michigan University, Mikayla has honed her craft with a blend of technical expertise and holistic wellness principles. While in her undergrad, Mikayla had the privilege of performing diverse works by acclaimed choreographers such as Tsai Hsi Hung, Kelsey Paschich, Jeremy Blair, and Alyssa Brutlag. Her journey in dance extended beyond academia, as she collaborated with professional companies including Peridance Contemporary Dance Company and Danceworks Chicago. Her passion for dance education also shines through her diverse teaching experience, spanning from competitive dance studios all around the U.S. and public schools in New York City, where she worked with the nonprofit organization "Notes in Motion.” Most recently, Mikayla was a company member of CPR Dance: Inhale Movement in Southwest Michigan, performing captivating works by esteemed choreographers such as Carolyn Pampalone Rabbers and Eugene Peabody. Driven by a vision to inspire and empower the next generation of dancers, Mikayla dreams to cultivate a community where the love for dance flourishes and barriers dissolve, fostering boundless creativity and artistic expression.
